Rumba Sunset.
just watching the sun going down on my deck and wondering why i have this book with 2 notes to myself in it that tell me 'do not read this book' again.
recently i heard some rumba music from the Congo playing in a serbian taxi driver's tape deck. this guy knew his music and the african rumba has stuck itself inside my head for a while now. no surprise then that watching the sun go down and picking away at my guitar, this little african tune made it's way out of my head.

My Guitar Gently Weeps
...tuned when i bought it...
trying to stay true to the real african feel, this sketch is only 4 tracks - guitar, percussion loop and 2 vocalizations. i couldn't help but dust in a few fx though i was really just trying to capture the moment of making music out on my deck watching the sun go down. Click hear for the Rumba Sunset song.
Rumba Sunset from My Deck
i am going to continue posting rough sketches and other audio tidbits on the blog so stay tuned! also, i am beginning to think that someone else has been on my internet! doesn't make any sense.
